FAQ
Questions about LaunchFrames.
Short and concrete: what LaunchFrames does, how export works, and what to watch when preparing store assets.
Product and workflow
What is LaunchFrames?+
LaunchFrames is a studio for app screenshots and launch assets. Add an app URL, place the interface on a canvas, write a headline and subline, then export finished images for stores, social media, or landing pages.
Who is it for?+
It is made for developers, indie hackers, and small product teams that want polished assets from real app screens without rebuilding every format manually in a design tool.
Can I use a real website or app as the source?+
Yes. Public URLs can be loaded as a preview and captured for export. Local or protected apps are better handled later through uploads or a dedicated capture integration.
Canvas and design
Why use a canvas instead of a simple screenshot download?+
The canvas mirrors the final export format. That means you see how text, background, and the app frame fit together before downloading the asset.
What is the difference between viewport zoom and feature zoom?+
Viewport zoom changes how the loaded app is rendered inside the simulated browser. Feature zoom then zooms into the app without changing the app frame itself, so you can highlight details without breaking the asset layout.
Can text end up behind the app?+
The text area automatically moves into free space beside, above, or below the app. You can still tune size, spacing, alignment, and small offsets without letting the copy disappear behind the app frame.
Export and platforms
Which export formats are supported?+
Exports support PNG and JPEG. PNG is the default because UI, text, and thin lines stay lossless. JPEG is useful when file size matters more and transparency is not needed.
Do EXIF, C2PA, or upload metadata stay in the export?+
No. The final image is rendered again, so metadata from uploaded or captured source images is not carried into the exported file.
Does LaunchFrames already validate every store rule?+
Not completely yet. The main preset sizes are in place. Checks for maximum file size, allowed aspect ratios, and platform-specific warnings can be added once the store requirements are fully collected.
Status and privacy
Is LaunchFrames already a finished product?+
LaunchFrames is currently an MVP. The first focus is a strong studio experience: real preview, direct adjustment, clean exports, and good defaults.
Are my app screens stored permanently?+
The current MVP is built around direct preview and export. If projects, uploads, or team features are stored permanently later, that should be clear in the product, privacy policy, and account settings.
What is Arratel?+
Arratel is the umbrella brand behind LaunchFrames. LaunchFrames is the current product name for this screenshot and launch asset studio.
